Mirra Andreeva overcame testing conditions and the burden of years of expectations to defeat qualifier Maja Chwalinska for her first grand slam title, becoming the youngest women’s champion at the French Open since 18-year-old Monica Seles in 1992.19-year-old Andreeva announced her enormous potential on the clay with a storming run to the French Open semi-finals two years ago. Despite her young age she had long been tipped to convert that into titles – and two years on, the vastly experienced teenager fulfilled that potential, maintaining her focus despite a difficult, windy court and a highly partisan crowd to win Roland…

AI chip company Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) became the first company ever worth $5 trillion in late 2025. As of this writing, it sits just below this after a recent pullback. But I personally think this is a conversation worth having, because I don’t think Nvidia will hold its crown forever. Will AI create the world’s first trillionaire? Our team just released a report on the one little-known company, called an “Indispensable Monopoly” providing…

The Securities and Exchange Commission may be down to two commissioners, but Commissioner Mark Uyeda took time this week to encourage registered investment advisors that this version of the SEC trusts their judgment in working with clients over what he called “prescriptive” government regulation.“The client is trusting you in your professional judgment,” Uyeda said at the Robinhood and TradePMR Synergy26 advisor conference held in Washington, D.C. “What is the risk tolerance? What are the investment objectives? … Are these still the client’s goals and objectives? And then try to find products successfully.”Uyeda added that government regulators should not dictate the…

Investors might think that because the Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ 4.80%) and the Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT 6.14%) both invest heavily in tech and growth stocks, they’re interchangeable. They’re not. The Invesco QQQ ETF tracks the Nasdaq-100 index, which simply includes the 100 largest non-financial companies trading on the Nasdaq exchange. It’s nearly two-thirds invested in tech stocks, but it also includes Walmart, Costco Wholesale, PepsiCo, and Amgen. In other words, companies that reside far away from the tech sector. During the weeks of April 15 and May 1, few could fail to notice “Tax the Rich” walkouts, marches, and block parties in high-tax advocacy hubs across New York, Illinois, and California. Fueled by rhetoric from progressive hustlers, protesters vented their hatred for Trump, billionaires, and capitalism. But also tapping into the national debate over inequality and affordability, speakers focused on the supposed injustices of our economic system. However, what such socialist superstars failed to mention is that, as imperfect as our economic system is, it provides more opportunity, more of the time, for more of its people than virtually…

(Image credit: GETTY IMAGES)Like hemlines, investing styles go in and out of fashion. And for the better part of 15 years, value investing — the strategy of buying shares trading at a discount — has been out of vogue, significantly lagging an approach focused on fast-growing stocks trading at pricey valuations.Late last year, however, a shift began. Bargain-priced stocks in the Russell 3000 Index gained a bit more than 6% over the past six months through the end of March, for example, trouncing the nearly 9% loss in the bogey’s growth stocks over the same period. It’s early days, of…

Something good seems to have come out of the unfortunate episode earlier this month when, at a Capitol Hill bar, Sen. Rand Paul’s son William blew up at Republican Congressman Mike Lawler.  William Paul, Rand’s son, supports incumbent Thomas Massie, a fellow Kentuckian who shares Rand’s libertarian and noninterventionist views. Massie is therefore despised by President Trump, who backed Ed Gallrein, Massie’s successful challenger in the GOP primary. If Massie were to be defeated, Rand Paul fils said he will hold Lawler and other non-MAGA Republicans he dislikes responsible, including Jews and gays, whom he said he “hates.”  William, who…
