From the water wings to wine, day 2 of the Wealth Management EDGE conference at The Boca Raton resort in Boca Raton, Fla., has a bit of everything.

The weeklong event, which features more than 250 speakers in front of a nearly 1,000 financial advisors managing $28 trillion in total assets (60% of which are RIAs managing over $500 million, brings together a mix of investing strategies, business growth best practices and tech initiatives.

The day kicked off with kayaking on Lake Boca Raton and the FAB breakfast—an invitation-only event to allow women in the wealth management space to talk honestly with each other about issues affecting them and their businesses.

It then led into the Hot Takes panel, in which Woodgate Financial Senior Partner and Financial Planner Jason Pereira and Michael Kitces, chief financial planning Nerd at Kitces.com, ate increasingly spicier wings (a la “Hot Ones”) while discussing artificial intelligence and wealthtech consolidation (at least while they could still talk).

The day also included an appearance by KOID, the humanoid robot by KraneShares and Robostore, as well as panels on organic growth, marketing tactics and the annual WealthStack technology demos.

It culminated in an invitation-only wine tasting event at the Yacht Club and a happy hour at the EDGE Pavilion.
