A small aircraft reportedly crashed into Beijing’s tallest skyscraper on Friday night, triggering an emergency response in the Chinese capital’s central business district.

Two witnesses confirmed the crash to Reuters, and images and videos shared on social media show debris from the plane and broken windows falling from the 108-story Citic Tower, also known as China Zun. The skyscraper served as the headquarters for China’s largest state-owned financial conglomerate Citic Group.

“It was so loud – louder than fireworks,” a bystander told the outlet.

There is no immediate official information on injuries or fatalities, and authorities did not release information on the cause of the crash.

Videos posted to social media and verified by The New York Times show what appears to be debris and parts of the aircraft, including what appears to be its tail, falling to the street below.
