New York Giants training camp is still more than a month away, but as we know, time has a way of creeping up on us.
The Giants are under new management, and there have already been some wholesale changes to the roster, and more are certain to come as new head coach John Harbaugh rounds out his inaugural 53-man roster.

Many experts close to the team have been making their predictions about the roster and which players will have solid seasons. Here are three offensive players that fans should not sleep on this summer.
Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Most experts are predicting a big season out of second-year stud Cam Skattebo, but he is still rehabbing from a gruesome ankle and lower leg injury that cut his rookie season off after eight weeks. Skattebo has been crowing about coming back 100 percent healthy and picking up where he left off, but that remains to be seen.
Tracy stepped in and handled the Giants’ rushing attack with 176 carries for 740 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for 288 yards and two more scores in 15 regular-season contests in 2025. The Giants ended up fifth in rushing yards per game (129.1), and with Harbaugh and Greg Roman manning the rushing game, they will need a group of backs to handle the volume.

The Giants signed former Baltimore Ravens backup Isaiah Likely to a three-year, $40 million deal early on in free agency this past March. That has led to questions about the future of Johnson, a 2024 fourth-round pick who reeled in 45 of 74 targets for 528 and five touchdowns last season. Johnson has the ideal size (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) and speed to exploit defenses at the second level and was in line for a breakout season.
The addition of Likely, who is two inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Johnson, was a bit puzzling, given the expectations of Johnson being so elevated. The offense is still dealing with some uncertainty at wide receiver, and perhaps they see Likely as a player who could line up in the slot, as he did with Baltimore, and Johnson as the in-line TE option. The Giants are expected to use a lot of multiple-TE sets under new coordinator Matt Nagy, so Johnson should continue to get ample opportunities this season.
Offensive lineman J.C. Davis
A sixth-round pick in this year’s draft, Davis could be a vital cog on the Giants’ new-look offensive line. The Giants appear to be set at tackle with Andrew Thomas back to full health and Jermaine Eluemunor re-signed to a new three-year deal. Marcus Mbow will be the swing tackle, but Davis could end up becoming a key figure, given the Giants’ history of injuries along the offensive line over the past decade.

Davis is not just an option at tackle, however. He can, and has, played other positions along the line.
Davis’ college coach, Bret Bielema, said, “He’s a guy that he might be able to plug and play at one position, but he probably has the flexibility to play all four.”
